Dr. Erik P. Contreras is a board-certified internal medicine physician and third-generation Arizonan dedicated to delivering a personalized, patient-centered approach to care. He earned his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, completed medical school at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, and continued his clinical training at New York Medical College. He returned to Arizona to complete his internal medicine residency at Maricopa County Hospital.

Following residency, Dr. Contreras accepted a position as a hospitalist and ICU physician at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, where he has since made his home. He currently serves as Chief of Staff and maintains active admitting privileges. In this leadership role, he works closely with physicians, surgeons, and hospital administration to foster strong collaborative relationships, support high standards of clinical care, and ensure effective coordination between medical staff and hospital operations.

Through High Mark Internal Medicine, Dr. Contreras provides concierge primary care and hospital management services at a level unmatched in the Prescott region.
